I first discovered Tacodeli in Austin, probably around 2013, and it was a big hit with our crew.
Today I popped into the Katy location on the way home from an appointment and had a barbacoa with onions and cilantro, and a bacon, egg & cheese — both on soft flour tortillas. It was every bit as good as I remember from the Austin visit.
Taco purists have told me that cheese does not normally belong on a taco, and I get it, but it sounded good today so I broke from dogma and did the grated queso thing. Non, je ne regrette rien!
Move like everything is gonna work out. Because it is.
Salsas: Rojo + Verde. Delicious. The Rojo has a little bite.
